Eight Sages: Pre-Build 4

Further rumminations, as well as hopefully starting the writing. It's been too long since the last blog in general; nothing noteable except for mod status on the TKT forums, but neligible in my viewpoint.

I've been musing on old thoughts, particularly why I changed the Earth aspects from pandas to rabbits. Given the ecology of Asia, rabbits aren't native to the region. So why did I mentally discard one race for a foriegn species? I decided to capitalize on this: somehow, the Panda-kin and their celestial patron Sheng Pao (Divinity of Purity and Grace,) fell out of favor of the Court of Dawn. In the time between then and now, the Rabbit-kin immagrated from beyond the Wall of Heaven in the West, elevated one of their own to divine status, and rewrote the histories to reflect that they have always been one of the Eight Races.

The fun question lies in why? Perhaps the PCs stumble across a hidden enclave of pandas up in the Gates of Heaven or just beyond the Wall; perhaps Shang Pao manages to convince the PCs to help him regain his status. Who knows--but if they attempt to retake their auspice which was orignally theirs by divine right (and the other celestials know it, too!) there could be potentially damaging after-effects if the Auspices become unbalanced.

I'm hopping with glee at the thought--and I have to ask, is it worth the risk of destroying your world just to see what might happen in this scenario?

Depends. (And no, not the diapers.)
